Ernest Allen Thompson was born January 3, 1952, to Earl Ross and Ernestine Willie (Hicks) Thompson in Santa Maria, California. He departed this life on July 30, 2026, at the age of 74 years.

Ernest was united in marriage to Karen Davis on November 4, 1983, in Bakersfield, California. The couple were married 42 years at Ernest's passing.

Ernest was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, clay shooting, motorcycles, horses and animals. He was a cowboy at heart! He also enjoyed playing domino's and spending time with his senior center buddies. He was known to be a friendly guy!

Ernest is survived by his wife, Karen, of the home; two sons, Marshal Thompson and Matthew Whiteman and wife, Francis; one daughter, Angela Hudson and husband, Robbie; brother, Chuck Thompson and wife, Vivian; sister, Betty Carlile and husband, Kenneth; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; cousins, Aletha and Chuck Pruner and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Thompson.

Memorial Services are 2:00pm, Friday, August 7, 2026 in the Matherly Davis Chapel.
