Donalda Jane Mayo was born July 31, 1932, to George Donald and Jane Edith Baldwin in Cushing, Oklahoma. She departed this life January 10, 2022, at the age of 89. She was a 1950 graduate of Cushing High School. On September 28, 1952, Donaldo Jane Baldwin and Seaman Alvin Mayo were united in marriage. From this union were born three children, Donalvin, Delwyn and Cindy. Alvin and Donalda enjoyed fifty-four years of marriage before his passing December 18, 2006. Their ministry allowed them to live in several cities. They moved back to Cushing in 1989 from Bienville, Louisiana. She faithfully attended the First United Methodist Church of Cushing. She enjoyed playing the piano, accordion, and organ in church. She was also an avid reader. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by one son, Delwyn Mayo; one daughter, Cindy Freeman and husband David; one brother, John David Baldwin Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Donalvin Mayo, one brother Roy Baldwin, two sisters Zelda Collins and Leola Miller. A visitation will be held at The Matherly-Davis Family Center Friday, January 21, 2022 from the hours of 4pm to 7pm. Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Fairlawn cemetery. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home.
