Donald Jay Hungate was born March 4, 1945, to Harley and Marie Elizabeth (Lacost) Hungate in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He departed this life January 26, 2023, at the age of 77 years.

Donald moved to Tulsa in 1957 and Cushing in 1960. He met Barbara Jean Cackler in the summer of 1963 and they were united in marriage on November 17, 1964. To this union four children, Debbie, Michelle, Harley and Gary, were born.

Donald enjoyed fixing lawnmowers, playing pool, fishing, hunting, spending time at the lake, buy and selling stuff and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of over 58 years, Barbara; children, Debbie Lesperance and husband, Jeff of Cushing, Michelle Cox and husband, Steve, of Huntington, AR, Harley Hungate and wife, Kim, of Yale and Gary Hungate and wife, Angela of Edmond; sisters, Norma Johnson and husband Johnny and Rebecca Lukens and husband Sam; nine grandchildren, Aaron Daves, Brandon Daves, A.J. Lesperance, Kimberly Cox, Cortnee Phelton, Christian Huskey, Jessica Bales, Ryan Pelham and Zoe Hungate; thirteen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Hungate; one sister, Donna Hungate and one granddaughter, Adley Hungate.

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Hope Church with Reverend Josh Greer officiating.
