Donald Gene Combs passed peacefully away at his home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 69 years of age.

The son of Norman and LaDara (Moss) Combs, Donald was born in Cushing on June 21, 1955. He grew up and was educated in Cushing. Don was united in marriage to Terri A. Combs on September 20, 1986 and they had recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. They resided in Tulsa, OK.

Don loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and loved being in his boat on the water whenever he could. He hunted duck and quail, enjoyed golfing, driving his 1968 GTO convertible, motorcycling, and some gardening – just about anything that got him outside. His dogs were his best companions.

Don worked in sales in the petroleum and tire industries. Before his retirement in October 2019, He worked 26 years for Dino's Tire and Wheel in Tulsa.

He is survived by his wife, Terri; his 101 year old mother, LaDara Combs; one brother Larry and his wife Judy; 2nd brother Mike; sister Sherry Acklin; Brother-In-Law Jackie Walters and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Combs; sister, Norma G. Walters; and Brother- in-law, Bill Acklin; his paternal and maternal grandparents and other relatives including aunts and uncles.

A Memorial service celebrating Don's life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 16, 2024 in the Matherly-Davis Funeral Home in Cushing - with no graveside service. Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, will be the final resting place. Services are under the direction of Dillon Funeral Service, and condolences may be shared at www.dilloncares.com.
