Don Thomas Cochran was born May 8, 1943, to Frank and Mary Cochran in Bixby, Oklahoma. He passed into the arms of his Lord on April 25, 2023, at the age of 79 years.

Don graduated from Milfay High School in 1962. After graduating he worked several miscellaneous jobs until he joined the United States Army in 1966. He served four years in Vietnam until he received his honorable discharge in 1970, earning four service medals.

He then settled in living in the Drumright/Oilton area with his first wife, Diane Sue Fowler, in which they shared four children. He stayed in the Drumright area, where he was united in marriage to Reta Carol Stokes on May 27, 1978. To this union was born one son. They enjoyed thirty-seven years together before her passing in 2015. He had lived in the same area for sixty-eight years and worked as a mechanic for thirty-five years between Quapaw, Gamblin Machine, and oilfield maintenance. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by daughter, Debra Sue Cochran; one son, Starbuck Apollo Cochran; grandchildren, Kylie, James Robert, Angel Renee, Cheyane, Kelsy, Ruby, and Kenny; great grandchildren, Chloe, Zoey, Little James, Deklan, and Gracie; one great great grandson; four siblings, Carolyn Grant and husband Jim Grant, Marlene Fowler, Maxine Gregory, and LaRonda Free as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Reta Carol Cochran; two brothers, Charles (Buddy) Cochran, and Ronald A.B. Cochran; three sons, Eddie Don, Ronald Wayne, and Dwayne Thomas; two brothers-in-laws, Ed Fowler and Don Gregory.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Saturday, at Welty Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
