Cynthia Rae
Bowers
Sep 23, 1947 — Aug 19, 2022
Broken Arrow
Cynthia Rae Bowers was born September 23, 1947 to Donald and Vivian Keene in Joplin Missouri. She departed this life in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on August 19, 2022 at the age of 74 years.
Cindy as known by all, grew up in Lamar, Missouri. Cindy made her way to Ada, Oklahoma where she attended Ada Public Schools. On August 13, 1966 Cindy Keene and Billy Ray Bowers were united in marriage. From Ada, Cindy and Bill moved to Oklahoma City, raising their two daughters as well as her niece, Terri Mullins-Viveros and nephew, John Hubbard. They lived in El Reno for a while before moving to Tulsa and then Broken Arrow, Cindy's forever home and final resting place. A day in the life of Cindy was full; it was joyous filled with laughter and love. She was very crafty as well. Being quick to pull out a board game or deal a deck of cards. Cooking was her greatest pleasure, and the aromas of a home cooked meal or fresh baked pie often filled the home. Cindy had a passion for helping others, she took in the outdoors, gardening and traveling and kept her mind sharp reading. She served her Lord daily finding a church home at Forest Ridge Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. She was always so thankful for the enormous support, overwhelming generosity, and overflowing love from such a wonderful congregation.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Vivian Keene; two daughters, Shannon Bowers of Broken Arrow, and Melissa Mooney, of Tulsa; two grandchildren, Christopher Loyall, of Broken Arrow, and Sarah Muzingo, of Catoosa; two great-grandchildren, Hensley Loyall, of Broken Arrow, and Felix Almendarez; as well as adopted daughter, Terri Viveros, and grandchildren, Joshua Mullins, Chance Viveros, Kenneth Viveros, Raven Viveros and great grandchild Emma Rae Mullins. She was preceded in death by her father, husband of fifty-four years, Bill; one sister, Vicki Moore.
