Obituary

Cleo Jane Smith was born August 28, 1939 to William and Dona (Willis) Coppinger in Bristow, Oklahoma.  She departed this life September 20, 2022 at her home at the age of 83.

On June 21, 1958 Cleo Jane Coppinger and William Alfred Smith were united in marriage.  They raised their seven children in Bristow.  She was a member of the Bristow Christian Center.  Cleo worked at the Church of God where she assisted in the nursery.  She not only raised her own children but was involved in many other children as a foster parent for 15 years.  She was also a mother to her nieces and nephews.

Cleo was also a doll collector.  She enjoyed talking on the phone to her children, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of sixty four years, William "Bill" Smith; seven children, Kenny Smith and wife Lora, Billy D. Smith, Lonnie D. Smith, Fredine Driver, Brenda McGuire and husband David, Jody Bishop and husband Mike, Kathy Gower and husband Don; twenty four grandchildren, Crystal Gillbreath and husband John, Kerry Deeringwater, Jeremiah Abbott, Daniel McGuire and wife Cindy, Jason McGuire and wife Jean, Josh McGuire and wife Brooke, Brandon McGuire, Riot McGuire, Jessica Montgomery and husband Brennan, Kayla McKenzie and husband Stephan, Kimberly Tate and husband Justin, Kenny Smith Jr. and wife Tyia, Justin Smith and wife Barbie, Ashley Smidt and husband Collin, Brett Smith and wife Trinity, Brad Gower and wife Samantha, Tiffany Stover and husband Scott, Emily Filby and husband Justin, Jeff Gower, Amanda Lewis and husband Colton, Miranda Pierce and husband James, Logan Smith, Tucker Smith, Austin Smith, and Jennifer Smith; twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.  She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters, and one stillborn daughter, Angela Dawn Smith.
