Christine Ann McDonald-Newman was born March 21, 1943; she was adopted by Anthony Lawrence McDonald and Irene (Murphy) McDonald from the St. Mary's Orphanage in Spokane, Washington. She departed this life on July 13, 2023, at the age of 80 years.

Christine was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was very artistic; she was well known for her doll making, ceramics, cake decorating and embroidery.

Christine is survived by her children, Scottie Lewis Blackburn and wife, Leslie, of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, Roseann Akerman and husband, Bobby, of Choteau, Oklahoma, Wade Blackburn and wife, Jeanna, of Cushing, and Anthony Blackburn and wife, Stephanie, of Enid; one sister, Elizabeth McDonald of Sacramento, California; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and second husband, Bill Newman, Christine was preceded in death by one sister, Gretchen, and two nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on July 28, 2023 at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the American Legion.
