Obituary

Charlsie Jean Walker Hummel. 75 of Bristow Oklahoma passed away on March 1, 2026. She was born on August 17, 1950, in Austin, Texas to Charles William "C.W." Walker and Betty Jean Myrick Walker. Charlise built a life rooted in faith, family, hard work and unwavering generosity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles W. Walker (Bubba) and sister, Sherry Roundtree, and most recently her beloved husband, Perry Dee Hummel who passed away in 2018. Their marriage was marked by devotion and shared commitment to their faith, family and community.

Charlsie is survived by her loving children Ken Burton & wife Samantha Burton of Mason, Texas and Jennifer Janssen Isaacs and husband Greg Isaacs of Bristow, Oklahoma, one sister, Deborah Horton and husband Dean of Burnet, Texas, and sister-in-law, Dianna Walker. Charlsie was a proud and devoted "Granny/Nana" to Jeff Burton and wife Kasey Burton, Haylee Burton and Alisyn Isaacs. She was also a great grandmother to Audrey Burton, Reagan Burton, Paxton Burton, Preslee Jo Burton, and Parker Burton, as well as four nieces and one nephew that she loved dearly.  Her legacy lives on in all of them.

Charlsie Served her community as a realtor helping countless families not only find houses, but homes. Beyond her career she was president of Bristow Social Services where she poured her heart, time and resources helping those in need. Charlsie rarely ever met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel like family.

Charlsie was deeply rooted in her faith and was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Slick, OK. Her love for the Lord shaped every part of her life. She would often say, "I am just so blessed." or "Thank you Jesus!" reflecting her grateful heart and steadfast trust in God.

She had a deep love for her animals. Her dogs, cows and horses. She found joy in the simple beauty of country life and the excitement of the racetrack and winner's circle. Charlsie had high hopes of taking one of her horses to the Kentucky Derby one day, but through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, she has won the Triple Crown in her own way. She gave freely of herself rather it be her time, encouragement, her prayers, finances, and her unwavering love.

To many, she was a helping hand, but to her family she was the matriarch, she was their everything. She was strength wrapped in kindness. Charlsie's life was defined not by what she accumulated, but by what she gave away. Her heart, her faith, and her love.
