Charles Lee Dawson was born October 25, 1942, to Charles Vernon and Edna Olga Dawson in Depew, Oklahoma.  He departed this life October 10, 2023, at the age of 80.

On September 1, 1961, Charles Lee Dawson and Mary Ann Copeland were united in marriage.  From this union were born two children, Vivian LeAnn and Jerry Lee.

Charles worked as a diesel mechanic retiring from Peterbilt Company.  When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, working on the farm, tinkering in the garage and riding on the tractor.  He especially enjoyed giving his friends and family a hard time.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dawson of the Bristow home; two children, Vivian LeAnn Aggers and husband Walter and Jerry Lee Dawson; three siblings, Shirley Dickinson, Robert Dawson and wife Pam, and Donna Skaggs; three grandchildren, Jesse Brown and wife Kayla, Brandon Brown and wife Tazia, and Sabrina Jackson and husband Jacob; six great grandchildren, Wyatt Brown, Weston Brown, Walker Brown, Brooks Brown, Briggs Brown, and Ella Jackson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers in law, Michael Copeland, David Skaggs, Joe Engles, and J.W. Dickinson; two sisters in law, Judy Blackbourn and Donna Brown.

Viewing is scheduled Friday, October 13, 2023, from 1:00PM – 7:00PM at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
