Carolyn Gladys Webb, born October 23,1939 to Stacy L. and Gertrude Ann Masters in Bristow, Oklahoma. Carolyn passed away September 20, 2026 at the age of 86.

Carolyn and Bob Webb were high school sweethearts and married on Valentine’s Day, February 14,1958. They were blessed with three children; Robert, Sue Ann, and Stacy.

Mom was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gertrude and Stacy Masters, her sisters, Juanita Yeary and Edith Mae Watson. She leaves the loves of her life behind: Sweetheart and husband, Bob Webb; favorite oldest son, Robert Webb, and his family June Kwark, Tyler Webb, Bryan Webb, and Aden Webb; favorite daughter, Sue Ann Coberg and her family Thom and Natalie Scout; favorite youngest son, Stacy Webb, and his family Michael Hodge.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity; continue the tradition of giving a little something to a service person or even a stranger and let them know how much you appreciate them, or support one of mom‘s favorite activities: the American Red Cross and the Bristow Historical Museum at the Train Depot.

Mom

She was the shining star of our family. Our sun, our moon and all the stars. She started every day with a text on the family thread, “Great Morning,” and closed our days with a “Good Night Sugar Babes, sweetie pies, precious cargo, or yay-hoo’s.” She was a Christian, daughter, sister, wife, mother, my other mother to many, auntie, grandmother, and our best friend rolled up into one spicy little firecracker.

She answered to, Sweetheart, Mamacita, Auntie C, Bella Auntie, Pigtails, Sweet Caroline, Red Hot Chili Pepper,….. to name a few.

Mom never missed an opportunity to make others smile. She always had a funny joke ready to go at any moment. “Have you seen Dolly Parton’s new shoes……. “

Mom was a kind, gentle soul, always giving of her time and talents. She recognized that she and Daddy were very fortunate and embraced the responsibility to give freely and quietly to others. When she traveled, she always had a pocket full of $20’s to give to any military service person she would see and made sure to chat with them and tell them how proud and grateful she was for their service. She volunteered at the hospital and was a substitute teacher at the Bristow schools helping young people with their reading. She quietly paid for school photos, gym clothes, and beautiful prom dresses for those who could not afford them. She wanted everyone to participate.

She was an active member of the first Church of God for many years, helping with bean dinners, funeral dinners, she helped with Sunday school classes and many other activities too.

Mom organized the Red Cross blood drives in Bristow for years and for the last many years, she absolutely loved volunteering at the Bristow Historical Society and Museum at the Train Depot. She shared stories about growing up in Bristow with such happiness and honor with all her new friends from all over the world. This time was made even more special as she got to spend it with her grandson, Bryan Webb.

She was an amazing example and taught us to be thankful and humble, and heroes for the underdog. She also taught her children, and many “adopted” Kiddos how to be playfully subtle when showing off a new ring….. Pointing with the ringed finger and to the distance and saying, “The cows went that way!”

As you know, Mom set the bar very high for her family and friends in so many areas, especially when it came to participating in 5k runs. She and dad started running 5K’s in their 60’s and never looked back. With over 30 runs and numerous medals. She absolutely loved the wildflower run (Thank you, Dr. Cooper) and was so excited to start her outside training every spring, in fact this past May, she was training for the upcoming 5K when she realized something was not right with her health.

Mom enjoyed every meal she ate and would almost always say “that was her most favorite one ever.” These past weeks she didn’t have much of an appetite and Stacy would do everything he could to load up a delicious protein drink full of everything. He asked her one day “well Mom, was this one a hit or a miss” and her response without missing a beat was “it was a HISSSSSSS!”

She was spicy, feisty, rode mechanical bulls, and danced on bar tops! She could slalom water ski, make the best snow angels ever, and always collected and kept winter snowballs in the freezer for us to throw on the Fourth of July. She built sofa tents for us on sick days and didn’t hesitate to slide down any hill on a cardboard box with her kids. She taught us all how to twerk! She tolerated cats, dogs, hamsters, and parakeets while detesting animals in the house. She loved a good rally, fought for women’s rights, participated in a loud and rowdy Occupy the Banks protest on the streets of Portland, Oregon. She prayed for and set an example for all of God’s children to be treated not just equally but with Love.

Mom showed us how to live with happiness and laughter; how to die with strength… but most importantly, how to love fearlessly, compassionately, with an open heart, and without boundaries. And she loved each and every one of you very much.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00AM Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the First Church of God. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
