Obituary

Carol was 71 years old and was a long time Cushing resident. She recently moved to Stillwater several years ago. Carol was born July 15, 1950 to Billy and Gracie Flavell at Travis Air Force Base in San Diego, California. Carol was married to Freddie Wayne Johnson on November, 13, 1970. Together they had one son; Freddie Wayne Johnson Jr. Freddie Sr. had one child from a previous marriage named Sandy Johnson. Carol always claimed her as her daughter as well. Carol passed away at her home on October 3, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father Billy Flavell, mother Gracie Nettles, step father Edgar Nettles, grandparents on both sides of the family, her aunt Ruth and Uncle Bobby Booten. Carol is survived by her only son Freddie Jr, one step daughter Sandy Johnson, one granddaughter Miranda Johnson and her husband Freddie Sr. (never divorced only separated) One brother; David Flavell and his wife Debbie of Cushing, OK, One niece; Tawnya Miller and her husband tommy of Cushing, OK, three nephews; David Flavell and his wife Tara of Enid, Edgar (EO) Flavell and his wife Kristen of Colwich, KS and Bobby Flavell and his wife Roshae of Cushing, OK. Carol had 7 great nephews: Jordan and wife Cynthia, Josh and girlfriend Danielle, Trenten Miller and Tabias Flavell all of Cushing, David Cole from Enid, OK, Brayden and Chandler of Colwich, KS. 3 great nieces; Shelby Booth and husband Austin, Morgan Webb and her husband Jarret and Abby Flavell all of Enid, OK. She had 2 great-great nephews Asher and River from Enid, OK. 5 great-great nieces Adley and Baylor of Enid, Zyliene, Makayla, and Clairysta of Cushing, Surviving cousins are Bonnie Scoggins of Oklahoma City, Susie Barnes of Cushing, OK and Larry Booten, wife and daughter of Perry, OK. Carol will be missed by all who knew her. She was very funny and always had a smile on her face. She never knew a stranger and loved spending time with her family. She loved crossword puzzles and scary movies. She never forgot her brother's birthday or Christmas. She would send him a card to say how much she loved him until she moved to Stillwater. Private Memorial Services will be held by the family 2:00PM, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Crossway Church with Pastor Sonny Johnston officiating. She will be laid to rest at Tryon Cemetery in Tryon, OK, next to her parents.
