Carol Sue Arwen was born September 11, 1945, to James Oscar Motsenbocker and Mary Jane (Burks) Motsenbocker Mitchell in Borger, Texas. She departed this life on January 22, 2024, at the age of 78 years.

Carol's father, James, was employed with Phillips and moved their family to Bartlesville where Carol was raised, graduating from College High School with the class of 1963. Following high school, Carol attended the University of Oklahoma. At the age of 50, Carol went back to school at Central VoTech, receiving her surgical tech license. She worked for several hospitals, including Cushing, Hillcrest and St. Francis. Some of Carol's hobbies include handwork, needlework, crocheting and embroidery.

Carol had two loves in her life; from the first, she was given a son James Matthew Shay. From the second, three wonderful children, Jeffery Wade Green, Craig Randal Green and Kimberly Lynn Green Patrick. She was also given wonderful grandchildren, Cory, Jordan, Amber, Barrett, Meaghan, Dawson Matthew, Tre' Bernard and Rayleigh Green and a great-great-grandchild, Hayes Lyndon. In addition, Carol is survived by sister and friend for life, Catherin Ann Motsenbocker Shimabukuro and her husband, Al; a nephew, Luke Koshin Shimabukuro and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by step-children, Kimberly Patrick, Jeffery Green and Craig Green.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on February 3, 2024 at the Matherly-Davis Chapel.
