Obituary

Boyce Lillian (Thompson) Biggs, our beloved Mema, went to join the angels in heaven on December 29, 2024.

Boyce was born in Mulhall, Oklahoma, on June 7, 1930.  She, along with her two brothers were raised in the Methodist Children's home in Britton, Oklahoma, and later in Tahlequah, where they were cared for and found a supportive and loving family.  At age 15, she left home and lived with her mother and stepfather in Marshall, Oklahoma, where she graduated from High School.

The best part of being at the Children's Home was that Boyce met the love of her life, Marion.  After Boyce graduated, and after Marion returned from service in the Navy, she and Marion married in 1949, and they later settled in Bristow.

Boyce and Marion had three children, Dwayne, Diane, and Dana.  Boyce was a loving mother and supportive of all her children's many activities, including raising animals, numerous sports, music, and cheerleading.  She also worked in the Bristow School System and at Oklahoma State University.

Boyce had many interests, including music, gardening, sewing, and quilting, but her true passion was her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she loved dearly.  They have many fond memories of them being at Mema's house playing, eating, and enjoying her company.  They treasure their time together and appreciate her constant support for all their activities.

Boyce is preceded in death by her husband and lifelong companion, Marion.  She is survived by her children Dwayne, Diane (Tom), and Dana (Stuart), her grandchildren, Paul Biggs (Ashley), Ty Biggs (Lindsay), Kale Biggs (Caci), Jeff Hamulak (Nikki), Scott Solomon (Kelly), and Michael Solomon (Kate), and her great grandchildren, Talyn, Huntley, Chanly, Saylor, Kolsen, and Kanyon.

The celebration of life service will be 2:00PM, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Clarehouse hospice facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
