Bill George Vassar was born June 18, 1947, to Bob Vassar and Della (Stowers) Vassar in Carney, Oklahoma. He departed this life on November 26, 2023, at the age of 76 years.

He was raised in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School and then attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University. He served in the United States Air Force.

He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his Harley, golfing, doing yard work, playing pool, tinkering and spending time with his kids, grandkids and dog, Hunter.

Survivors include his children, Nichelle Whidby and husband, Skeeter of Yale, Derek Vassar and wife Christina of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Laura Morgan and husband, Shane of Cushing; brother, Ben Vassar; sister, Kathy Vassar; grandchildren, Haleigh Lann, Jennifer Cude, Justin Morgan, Lexi Vassar, Matthew Cude and Jade Morgan; great grandchildren, Mason Lann, Weston Holmes and soon to be, Luke Tyler Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two siblings, Betty Cooper and Bobby Vassar.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the Hope Church with Reverend George Brock, III officiating.

Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park.
