William Edward McNew was born March 15, 1950 to W. H. and Lucille McNew in Bakersfield, California.  He departed this life April 14, 2025 at the age of 75 years.

Bill, as known by most, was a longtime Bristow area resident.  Enlisting in the United States Navy at a young age; he served his country faithfully and honorably.  For many years, Bill drove a truck across the country, retiring after logging thousands of safe miles.  He attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Bristow, Oklahoma.  Bill loved the lord and playing his guitar and singing when the church had a night of fellowship through song.  He loved his family deeply and enjoyed time with them.

Bill is survived by two children, Ammey LeCompte and Travis McNew and two grandchildren, Dylan LeCompte and Dana LeCompte.  He was preceded in death by his parents

Graveside services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the Bristow city Cemetery Pavilion.
