Bill James Lawson was born June 24, 1977, to James Leroy and Pamela Rose Lawson in Elmore City, Oklahoma.  He departed this life August 28, 2021, at the age of 44.

Known as BJ or Billy, he was a high school graduate of Glenpool High School.  BJ had many construction jobs before settling in as a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed watching football, whether it was live or on television, especially the Oklahoma Sooners.  As well, BJ enjoyed taking his kids camping along with watching drag races.  He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by one daughter, Slyia Lawson; one son, Jacob Lawson; sister, Paula Ostrum, and husband Todd.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Depew First Baptist Church with Pastor James Lame officiating.
