Berniece C. Taylor, Cushing resident, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the age of 87 years. The daughter of the late Hermann Clausen and Margaretha Rusch Clausen, Berniece was born on February 20, 1931 in Atlanta, Wisconsin. Berniece was united in marriage to Tommy Taylor on June 25, 1984. Bernice was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. She enjoyed genealogy, reading scripture and playing cards and spoons. She had worked as a bookkeeper for many years for Oklahoma State University Diagnostic Lab and for Dr. Frank Denney. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Tommy, of the home; two sons, Doug Pieper and wife Colleen and Bruce Pieper and wife Marti; three step-children, Jeannette Pierce and husband Gary, Leannette Raffety and Delbert Taylor; one granddaughter, McKenzie Pieper; step-grandchildren, Katina Smith, Donald Bilby, Jr., Jason Pierce, Tyler Pierce, Michelle Wilhelm and Tami Jackson; step-great-grandchildren, Brennon Pierce, Brooklyn Pierce, Karrlee Pierce, Jaelynn Wilhelm, Sierra Wilhelm, Shontana Wilhelm and Tommy Jackson; one nephew, Gary Clausen and wife Michelle, and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Berniece was preceded in death by three siblings, Louis Clausen, Harold Clausen and Viola Clausen. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer with Reverend W.R. Rains officiating. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Jason Pierce, Tyler Pierce, Jim Wilhelm, Brad Jackson, Freddy Gaither and Kerry Simpson. Honorary casketbearers will be Danny Hill and Kevin Gerfen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 730 East Cherry, Cushing OK 74023
