Beatrice Kay Hopkins was born January 14, 1943, to Eugene Nolan and Helen Marie McElyea in Peoria, Illinois.  She passed away April 6, 2024, at the age of 81.

Beatrice married Philip Jay Hopkins on September 14, 2001.  She had four sons, Jeff, Gene, James, and John.  Her life was her family.  She was a member of the Cornerstone church.  Her day didn't begin without reading her Bible and praying.  She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and was always willing to share the gospel.

She enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles, computer games and spending time with her family.  Beatrice left behind a legacy of love for her family.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Hopkins, three sons, Jeff Otto and wife Elizabeth, James Otto and wife Jenna, John Otto and wife Melanie; two sisters, Bonnie McElyea and Kim Jackson; one brother, Nolan Eugene McElyea; grandchildren, Liz Patrick, David, Joshua, Amber and husband Andrew, Brenden and wife Jessica, Tiffany and husband Peyton, Brittany and Derick; ten great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gene Otto, two sisters, Carolyn Robinson, Judith Glass and one brother, Lawrence Eugene McElyea.

Services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
