Barbara Jean Leach was born April 24, 1947, to William Meredith and Mildred (Abbott) Cox.  She departed this life December 6, 2024, at the age of 77.

She graduated from Olive High School.  She worked for numerous years as a seamstress.  When she was able, she attended Freedom Hill Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school for several years.

Barbara enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and watching the hummingbird's feed.  She also enjoyed gathering with friends and playing bingo.

She is survived by her nephew, John Cox and spouse Tiffany Silkey of Afton, Oklahoma and numerous cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Errol Glenn Cox.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00PM, Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Free Will Baptist Campground Cemetery.
