Barbara Elaine
Ball
May 4, 1948 — Jan 30, 2025
Bristow
Barbara Elaine Ball was born May 4, 1948 to Racine and Eunice Pickard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She departed this life January 30, 2025 at the age of 76 years.
As a young child Barbara's family moved to California returning to the Tulsa area after a few years. She grew up in and around the Tulsa area graduating from Nathan Hale High School in 1966 before earning her Associates Degree in accounting. Before entering high school, she was recognized as the Ping Pong Champion of the Tulsa area. She and Marvin Ball were married March 14, 1970. After living in Coweta, OK for six years, they moved to the Bristow area, raising four children. Barbara's career as an accountant and later a CPA spanned over 45 years. Though she worked outside of the home, Barbara balanced work and home, always putting family first. Time with her kids and grandkids were special moments. She attended nearly all their sporting events, but her favorites were soccer and tennis. Reading a good book, watching NCIS, taking kids or grandkids to the movies, and destroying the contestants on Jeopardy from her recliner were among her favorite pastimes. Her Grandpa Willing told her to never say, "No" when asked to sing, and she took it to heart and blessed many folks through the years as she sang in church. Above all, Barbara had a servant's heart; she was always helping someone. She was a generous giver, faithful to those she loved and faithful to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Marvin; four children, Matthew Ball and wife Shawna, Sherry Edens and husband John, Leslie Ball, Mark Ball and wife April; one sister, Linda Cupps and husband Paul; ten grandchildren, Hannah, Charis and husband Jeremy, Christy and husband Lawrence, Sam and wife Haley, Donna and husband Leon, Caleb and wife Lorence, Joshua, Zaavan, Everlynd and Drextyn as well as, five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ray and two sisters, Ann and Yvonne.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 3rd, at 10:30AM at the Welty Church of God.
