Alice Faye Murphy was born October 20, 1935, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Lee and Nettie Roberts. She departed this life on April 27, 2026, at the age of 90.

Alice grew up in Bristow and graduated from Bristow High School with the Class of 1953. On January 19, 1979, she was united in marriage to Carl Strein. They shared seventeen years of love and companionship before his passing on May 7, 1996.

A devoted member of the First Church of God, Alice faithfully served as choir director for fourteen years. Music was one of her greatest joys, especially southern gospel, which she loved deeply.

Alice's life was centered around her family. She is survived by her son, Billy Murphy; her stepdaughter, Glenda Hines; and her grandchildren: Aaron Joe Murphy and wife Erin, William Leon Murphy and wife Alyissa, Krystal Murphy, and Aubree Robinson. She also leaves behind her great‑grandchildren: Anthon Murphy, Ayden Murphy, Easton Walshak, Hudson Walshak, Amara Sims, Kolson Sims, and Ainsley Murphy; daughter in law, Robin Murphy.  She is lovingly remembered by her nieces, Eva Smith and Jackie Dolan, and her nephews, Dean Murphy, David Murphy, and Joejoe Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Strein; one son, Jody Murphy; one daughter, Ginger Murphy; two brothers; and two sisters.

Alice will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steadfast faith, and the music she brought into the lives of so many. Her legacy of love, family, and song will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her.
